Sarah's passion is teaching people how to communicate with their dogs and cats.

A popular speaker, she has taught at Tufts-Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, American Council of the Blind, Pet Sitters International, International Association of Canine Professionals, The Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers, Puppyworks, The ASPCA, Groomers Expo, and many more.

She had written 8 books, seven with her partner and husband, Brian Kilcommons: Good Owners, Great Dogs; Childproofing Your Dog; Good Owners, Great Cats; Paws to Consider; Tails from the Barkside; Metrodog and My Smart Puppy and one, due out October,2008 with Vicki Croke: Dogology, What Your Relationship With Your Dog Reveals About You.

She has written for or been quoted in O Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Chicago Tribune, Dogs in Canada, Cosmopolitan magazine, Veterinary Trends, Pet Health, W, New York Newsday, Parenting, Dog World, Dog Fancy, Off Lead to name a few.

Since 2000, she and a team of other professionals have run one of the most active Internet boards on dog training and care, fielding tens of thousands of questions.
