I'm 39 and very happily married. I'm a geek, and proud of it.

I still have my original Luke Skywalker action figure from 1977. He's aged pretty well. He sits on top of my back-up hard drive these days, although the cats keep knocking him over. The Force is very powerful, but two clumsy domestic shorthair cats are even more powerful in the end. Sorry, Luke.

I post some videos here because my fibromyalgia video blog (youtube/user/dianacwolf) has so many subscribers these days that folks get annoyed if I post a family-related video over there.

I have a handsome hunk of a husband, whom I met surfing in Santa Cruz 12 years ago. He's a much better surfer than I am, and looks positively gorgeous in a wetsuit. Our son is now 7-years old, and also now surfs, but he likes the surf in Hawaii much better than Santa Cruz. The water in Santa Cruz is currently 50 degrees. Once it hits 48 degrees, it is cold enough to give you a "brain freeze" when you go in. (OK, at least I get a brain freeze. Maybe it's just me.) Can't say I've ever gotten a brain freeze surfing in Hawaii. Although, I do miss wearing a wetsuit when I surf in Hawaii. I learned to surf in Santa Cruz, so I feel somewhat naked surfing without a wetsuit. I've wiped out on coral a few times in Hawaii and beautiful and endangered as coral is, well, I don't like picking it out of my skin. As I'm crashing into the coral, I usually think something like: "A nice thick winter wetsuit covering me from head-to-toe would have come in really handy right about now..."
