many people would argue the term "punk" has been irrelevant for some time as well, but just because something isn't trendy anymore doesn't make it irrelevant. In fact, one of the major points of punk rock was to rebel against the trends. I don't really give a damn what people think emo is. In was introduced to bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and the Get Up Kids when I was in high school and I still love both of those bands to this day.
