Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. That Japan-exclusive KH2 version superior to any other. And it has been translated IN-GAME in English. I am here to show you some of that.
The English patch has been provided by Xeeynamo. Thanks to him (and his resources) it is as if the game has gone through an overseas release. Well, if you know how to burn stuff to cd, you could say that....
== Skip to == 0:41 Theather demonstration 1:52 Loading a save file after final battle 2:25 Menus (Status, Abilities, Customize, Items, Journal, Config...) 4:38 A new cutscene (appears to be unfinished for text) 5:05 Lingering Will, and it's menu influencing stuff translated 6:04 Cavern of Remembrance Computahs 6:28 Testing Data Vexen (and Limit Form and Genie Summon) 7:50 Some Heartless Journal, and a Mushroom XIII minigame. 8:39 An ambush at Black Pearl 8:52 Shop and Synthesis 9:51 Absent Silhouette -Vexen- 11:37 But there is something broken... 12:52 A reminder about checking this damn v. description and The End. ____________________ - Important things to note -
* Here's where you can find the full thing on Xeeynamo's English patch. This is what you definetly need to check out. http://xeeynamo.b...
* The patch's author's YouTube channel. http://www.youtub...
* This patch was applied to an actual iso. file of the game, which was then burned on to a DVD+R disc (DVD-R discs work too) and booted up via SwapMagic Coder 3.8 [PAL version]. SwapMagic can boot up backups, and this was no exception. However....
* If burned to a DVD+R disc, chances are this is exactly what will happen. Burn to a DVD-R disc (I got myself some manufactured by Sony themselves), they're bound to work like normally whenever.
So don't be surprised about the long Limit Form transformations. It does affect quite a lot, at least against Vexen...
* You may want to pause for some instances to read all the stuff that is on the screen, I went through some parts of menus and journals relatively fast.
* Looks like the white text turned out to be much smaller than it looked in Movie Maker's preview... well, you should definetly have an idea about what's going on this time around. =P
* Most of the stuff has been translated, but not every single bit of content was. You can see an example around 4:50.
* Yes, I am quite aware of the typos seen in these. Human error is an obvious factor, but it could also be because of the space allowed for the text, but I did not create this "hack" so I can't say for sure.
* If there is some particular stuff you want to see about the patch, leave the requests and questions in comments and I can look into'em and give you an answer or even make a video out of it if it is worth my while.
* This was played on an actual Slim PS2 SCPH-90000. PCSX2 emulator works fine too, but I am personally having pad problems (the X360 stick doesn't register all way through diagonals) so I am refraining from using that for a time being.
* Do not ask me where to find an iso -file of the game as I will leave you with nothing. I am not giving them away, do your own search.
* There are still some glitched / incorrect stuff in within the patch. If you find any, make sure to report them here or somewhere else with the patch demonstrated. I would suggest contacting the author himself, either on the blog post I linked to or to his YouTube channel.
* P.S. I own the original game... like everyone should. Except thanks to S-Enix it's not possible, at least for now.

So I was thinking to myself how far I have come in life, so I decided to say screw it and watch all fo them once more. Through the new year, you'll see new commentaries on very old videos be it music videos, lets plays that have no audio, and random dubs I have done before. Sometimes I might mix two videos for length purposes, but I plan to commentary over everything. all up to todays date. We kick things off with one fo my very first dubs, the kingdom hearts bizzare series.

"Rawest Forest" by Martin Hagwell "Geno's Forest" by XBrav "Beware the Forest Mushrooms" by Yoko Shimomura
Back in 2007, the last Flash animation I did as I was graduating High School and entering College was a music video based on "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" for the Super Nintendo, a game that I have over a decade of history with. Yoko Shimomura's music is a huge part of what's so amazing about this game, "Beware the Forest Mushrooms" (theme of the "Forest Maze" stage) being one of her most highly regarded compositions. DJ XBrav created a lyrical version of the song that took the internet by storm many years ago, evolving into a meme that fans of the game all know and love. Martin Hagwell later remixed this into the popular "Rawest Forest" song, which I later used as the song for the music video that has now received millions of views in the past several years.
Today, as the last Flash animation I'm doing as I graduate College and enter into the rest of my life: Myself, Blake "ShadyVox" Swift, Bryon "Psyguy" Beaubien and Musical Mike Patterson, have joined forces to bring you a new version of the popular Forest Maze composition from Super Mario RPG, paying tribute to both XBrav's and Marta's remixes as well as Yoko Shimomura's original piece. This animation was done over the course of two weeks, as opposed to the original music video that was finished in one week. I crammed in as many geeky references in there as I possibly could to show my appreciation for this amazing game and I hope everyone who's ever played Super Mario RPG will get a big smile in remembering all the fun stuff from Mario and company's adventures. Big thanks as well to my creative partners that helped in making this song and everyone who supported me during the animation process.
Follow Geno's route there!
-LYRICS-
:Vocals: Super Mario-oh RPG Super Mario-oh RPG Super Mario-oh RPG
:Rap: Yo. Yo. Yo' trapped in this place. Make no mistake. O'yo' nevah escape.
:Vocals: Super Mario-oh RPG If I could ask you to play with me. Only if it wasn't a one-player game. Something about it just isn't the same.
Entering the forest came with ease. Now that I'm lost someone help me please! How can I remember what brought me here. There is a story to tell, lend an ear.
:Rap: Once upon a trip a giant sword came down and ripped Apart a Road that's made of Stars, then they scattered to afar. Mario and all the crew, on adventure found a-new. Follow them as they continue on a quest to save me and YOU!
:Vocals: (Listen to me) There are many secrets in this land, Up in the clouds or beneath the sand, Deep within this labyrinth there is place, If you go looking you might go insane.
Exiting the forest is very simple Follow the patterns on and on again... (Exiting the forest is super simple) Or you'll never find what you call home... (Listen to me or you'll regret it someday~) Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno.
(Follow Geno Now)
:Piano Solo:
:Vocals: Super Mario-oh RPG This is a game just for you and me. When you find yourself in a miserable haze. It's all because of the Forest Maze. Exiting the forest is super simple: All you do is follow these path turns (Exiting the forest is super simple) For the rest of your gaming life... (Listen to me or you'll regret it someday~) Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno's route here... Follow Geno.
:Rap: I'm a gaming god.
