The Anniversary will always be one of my favorite bands. To go from the sound of that first album to Your Majesty takes a lot of balls, and they pulled it off without flinching. It's a shame their third album never came to fruition, but really, if you write, record and release an album like this ...

Unbelievable guitar work. The album version is good in its own right, but god damn. The guitar playing in this particular performance is unreal.

This is excellent. Every time I try to record a banjo, it winds up sounding horrible. This should help. What would really help is being able to afford a set of R-122's!

Okay, so maybe it's not a clawhammer part. Either way, I haven't ever really seen anyone play in this style; he's strumming with the nails of some fingers, plucking strings with others, and thumb picking the bass line. He's like some kind of modern twenty-something Son House. Ridiculous.
