my name is John Mullan, and i am 18 years old, my channel says im a lot older because when i created it i thought that there was a minimum age to create an account! lol

i play a lot of guitar, mainly metal, but i find myself eager to learn blues, funk etc aswell these days. ive been playing for about 4 years roughly. i have been in 2 bands during that time, neither saw any success lol!

here is a list of the gear i use/own currently:

1989 Ibanez RG560 with an EMG 81 in the bridge, and two EMG SA singlecoils in the middle and neck. it was a weird skull finish but it has been recently refinished to Ruby Metallic red, which is **slightly** transparent so i have a subtle snakeskin/skull effect when the light hits the guitar properly!

Randall RG200G3+ tube/MOSFET hybrid guitar amp. its rated at 200W but its the size of a standard 100W SS amp. its a great versatile amp with a clean channel, 2 overdrives as well as a clean boost and reverb. the previous owner lost the plastic randall logo from the front grille so the only way to tell it is a randall is by looking at the back! haha

Behringer UM300. when i mention this pedal to my fellow players they react like "why do you have such a shitty cheap pedal?" until they hear it. if you want high gain for thrash and above then unless you have a great tube amp like an ENGL fireball or Blackstar S1 etc, this pedal can help you out a lot. it was about £20 when i bought it.

Rocktron Rampage Distortion. this pedal is a great looking piece of kit! it has a metal box and five switches! basically it looks like a boutique stompbox, but its not lol! sounds great for the £60-80 its worth, plenty of tonal options. cant fault it but i rarely use it.

i use a bull strap.

i play a lot of Xbox also. my favorite Genre of games would definitely have to be the action RPG. oblivion is my all time favorite game and timesplitters 2 closely follows!
