@mailbox2 Yes it was the Statler Brothers. Johnny is the one who gave them their start. Look on here for the song "We got paid by Cash" by the Statlers. They basically tell the whole story in that song.

@moominpic Yes he was. I believe he was the drummer. He lost a coin toss for the plane seat to the Big Bopper. And that was the night the plane went down, and WJ was the lone survivor because he had to take the bus instead of the plane.

@HellbillyCuntryMusic Just to let you all know, they released these in May of 2009. The title of the boxed set is : "The unreleased recordings Hank Williams". Any music store can order it for you or you can get it at walmart.com.

Alan Jackson did real good on this as did Josh Turner.

Love how he keeps mostly to the original.. Would have made Hank Sr. proud. Another singer keeping old Hank's memory and spirit alive.

@jon070294 It's because Ford actually owns New Holland now. New Holland equipment used to be all red and yellow. The blue tractors are actually Ford tractors, just with the New Holland nameplate. Hope this helps.

Have the readers digest with this story in it. Also had a friend of mine who was in Fostoria Ohio the day this happened. The dispatcher put another train in the siding, told them to uncouple the engines and chase it down. They succeeded. Friend has it all on tape off the scanner. :)
