"Our voices are quite different....but we tried singing together experimentally and we found that we could achieve this very nice harmony."___Peter Asher
A great tune by Paul McCartney, recorded by Peter & Gordon as their first single. For whatever reason, the Beatles never recorded this song. But it became a #1 for P&G in the UK and America in 1964. The song was first offered to Billy J. Kramer, but rejected. McCartney reportedly described John Lennon's reaction to the song: "The funny first line always used to please John. 'Please lock me away ' 'Yes, okay.' End of song."
Here's a classic duet sung and played by Clint & Castille. Clint does the middle lead guitar bit quite brilliantly. Visit his channel today for more brilliance! http://www.youtube.com/babs2002ukusless

Lyrics:
look how shiny is the lake tonight your reflect waves on the water don´t know if that´s due to pain or since I´m drunk I wish I knew what you are trying to tell me
moon, look at me and, please, tell me what am I doing in this empty night? each time I step forward I fall down, more and more I feel I die
I can´t breathe next to you but without you I drown yet deep inside that´s just what I want
moon, look at me and, please, tell me what am I doing in this empty night? each time I step forward I fall down, more and more I feel I die
with or without you you know I´ll go on tonight I see it clear
I will go back to the lake of the moon that November of Honey we lived together then I run by it my memories and I will be happy of all we lived give me a moment and look at me tell me what I have become I promise that´s just what I want
