SINGLE 'THEY SAID I SAID' OUT 15TH SEPTEMBER
SUGARUSH TO PERFORM AT V2008
"One of the coolest new bands to arrive in '08" RWD
"SugaRush Beat Company are all about floor filling urban anthems" Daily Star
"Scintillating" Metro
"The most exciting soul-rock alchemists since Sly & The Family Stone" Sunday Times Culture
SugaRush Beat Company release their eagerly anticipated eponymous debut album on 29th September through RCA. Straddling the sublimely uplifting sound of 'Love Breed' and vintage Stax strut of 'L-O-V-E', through to the southern fried soul of 'Oh Lord (Take Me Back), the dark, apocalyptic menace of 'The End' and the exuberant pop rush of 'SugaRush', 'SugaRush Beat Company' (released September 29th) is an album that defies any easy categorisations. Its psychedelic funk, dark beauty and elasticated grooves evoke musical mavericks such as Prince, NERD and OutKast, without letting the listener ever easily pigeon hole the sounds.
The three members of SugaRush Beat Company hail from three different continents and span four countries. Not the most obvious formula for a band, but then SugaRush Beat Company are no ordinary band. The group comprises of Rahsaan Patterson, a critically lauded soul singer based in LA, Ida Corr -a Danish Electro / Soul singer whose single 'Let Me Think About It (Featuring Fedde Le Grand)' shot to number 2 in the UK single charts and also stormed into the upper echelons of the US Billboard charts earlier this year - and Australian born, UK based Jaz Rogers.
Jaz, the songwriter, producer, multi instrumentalist and mastermind behind the project is fast becoming one of the most sought after producers and writers in the UK, having recently co-written and produced a large part of Bryn Christopher's highly touted album. He has also worked on tracks for Lauryn Hill's anticipated album. In fact, none other than Pharrell Williams and Timbaland, two of the highest profile producers in the world were so impressed with Jaz and SugaRush that he is now flying to the US this summer to meet them and discuss future collaborations.
The release of 'SugaRush Beat Company' (on September 29th) will be preceded by a single-'They Said I Said'- released on 15th September through RCA. Already established as a firm live favourite at their recent sold out UK gigs, with its infectious chorus and 60's influenced hook, and led by Ida Corr's suga-coated vocals, 'They Said I Said' is a perfect slice of pop for the summer months.

I've never heard anything like your voices before-i love them haha! X
Sorry I don't know your name yet but can I say to the female lead singer your voice is incredible! It's the most powerful and beautiful voice I've ever heard from a female vocalist -real skin tingling stuff, wow!
I first heard "They Say" and I can't get enough of this track, it's so funky and sexy, so I've been sending the video of you all performing it on Jools Holland to my brothers, sister, friends and they reacted the same way as me.
I guess you've got a new league of fans out here!
Caroline :-)
