About this user
I am a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, grandchild, friend, and lover.
I am here to be ME.
Who am I?
I am everywoman. I am one woman. I am everything to one, nothing to some, something to all.
All at the same time.
I am open-minded and closed off. Free and confined. Fearless and fearful. Confident and insecure. Discerning and foolish. Profound and superficial. Top of the world and rock-bottom. Outskirts and mainstream. Intimate and disinterested. Protective and protected. Grounded and uprooted. Submissive and stubborn. Incapacitated and capable. Spiritual and worldly. Extra-ordinary and insignificant. The original and a counterfeit.
I am Me. Take it or leave it.
Only give Me a chance. One chance. Just the time it takes You to read these words. I open up to You, strangers and friends, the work-in-progress that is Me.
Take from My words what You may, but do not desert Me with Their scraps. Share Yourself with Me as I share Myself with You.
Perhaps one day We shall meet, perhaps We have already, perhaps We never will. But do not overlook My words. I have something to contribute to this world, as do You. Do not write off My words as trivial and miss the meat of Them. They are My hands, eyes, ears, nose, mouth. They tell You more of Me than anything else ever could, ever would.
Why do I use written material, rather than letting the world see my face? If there were two options, for a way to communicate with people the world over, which would YOU choose? The one by which people can judge You on shallow things like Your looks and voice and mannerisms? Or the method where You write out Your thoughts, where no one can look at You and make split decisions about You based on unimportant, exterior things? Where You are either taken seriously or disregarded for the content of Your mind, not the examination of Your appearance?
I crave for My time here to have substance; to share in joy for it grows when divided, to share in sorrow for it eases when fragmented, to impart My wisdom, and to gleen wisdom from others.
I know My purpose here. What is Yours?
(You might be curious why I capitalized every personal pronoun. I believe in the utter importance of each and every one of Us. We are more important than We realize, than We ever could realize. In some way or another, I am important to You, and You are important to Me. It is imperative to realize this.)
