What is Subterrania? It was originally a radio show on the Tulsa University FM station, KWGS, from about 1969 to 1974. They played "underground" progressive music from the basement studio. We had 2 top 40 AM stations but they wouldn't play Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, ELP, etc. I was in junior high and high school all this time and my friends and I listened every Saturday night when they were on. Later they went to 5 evenings a week plus all day Saturday.

I ran a live365.com station for a few years that played all the original progressive music that was played on Subterrania, and even had a show on the W0KIE Satellite Radio Network (which has changed to Skyscanner now).

Some of the newer progressive music I describe as "Subterrania Plus" since it was done after 1974.
