@ffelix916 If you notice the bus that spins round HAS chains on, BUT chains do not help if the wheels lock with the chains not right under the wheels. Winter tyres (tires for stateside) help a lot as they grip better at low temps, "winter tyres" does NOT mean studs, just a better combo of rubber ...

@stubsstubs If people don't expect cyclists to travel at a resonable speed on a downhill road they should not be on the road. BASIC road awareness is what is needed. Personally I've had a pushbike up at around 50mph, but NOT near a junction in town, on the run down off the "Skye bridge"

"appropriate authorities" are GENERAL PUBLIC in cars, learn that "winter tyres" don't mean studded, and after the intial purchase do NOT seriously increase running costs for a car as you ONLY need 1 set on car at a time. That little amount of snow needs no snowplough, but cars need better tubber...

Some thin wood or thick cardboard under the wheels would help let the tyres get enough traction to get some momentum, then it should keep moving if he controls the throttle properly

Nice quality, but I'd suggest reducing time between frames, maybe make it 1/2 what you used on this, then I might be able to recognise where you are driving past.

More to the point he should not have been driving Norwegian roads, in winter without a set of chains, which if he fitted them would have got him moving in a moment. Not just "sensible" but a legal requirement for ALL trucks to have chains over winter months. . .

All but the final pictures are genuine, the larger truck was WAY too far from the edge to fall in that manner, IF it tipped it'd do that, tip and be 100% upside down before going over edge into water, but of course the crane arm would be in the way. Waste of time !

Getting STARTED on ice, even on a slight uphill is a waste of time, reverse down to a flat area, build a little speed, get into 2nd gear ant least and up you go, even on non-studded tyres.

He should just give up and remove the top layers, then spread salt/grit over th elower hard ice layers to start to break that up. We NEVER see them clear roads down to the asphalt here in Norway, except on the motorways.

These are common in Scandinavia (possibly slightly shorter versions, but the same twin axle further forward, and steering axle to rear setup) Much better in towns once other drivers remember to watch for them in sharp corners, back corner can swing out a bit.

@SeberHusky As you may have noticed (but clearly didn't) even when the pickups front wheels touched the grass, they went SIDEWAYS as the grass is ALSO coated with ICE ! Only hope is keeping it on the flatest part pf the road, and preferable use studded tyres or at least decent winter tyres like ...

an "AWFUL" crash would have written the vehicle off, that was a gentle roll. New windows, slight body panel work to reshape the roof and a coat of pain it'll be fine. If it had flipped into the air and "landed" on the roof, rather than gently rolling it would be nasty.

This is no more a smart car than it can fly transatlantic flights. It is a spaceframe + carbon race chassis with smartcar bodypanels. If it had SOME of the actual mechanicals of a genuine smart car, fair enough.

The IR LED is a "laser LED" WHERE did you get that wonderful idea ? Erm, LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation and has NOTHING to do with its optical wavelength, so a laser CAN be IR, or visible RED, visible Green or even BLUE !

Biggest giveaway of not being real, is them setting out cones. Those guys "Stop, hook, lift and go" Personally I've seen em lift a merc in under 90 seconds from parking brake on on he truck to moving it again.

@cadizv Also 18WOS is an arcade style game, it's drive flat out and "hope" if you want a more realistic driving experience try Euro Truck Simulator, where close quarters manouvers and reversing are essential.

On the rocks right at the end of that clip, they have now painted the words "tunnel utløp" where the new tunnel that bypasses the next strech with come out. Should make a difference not only in winter when icefalls are a rick (someone killed a year ago with one) but will remove the narrow stretch...

@mcsnowman11 Actually they DO because they grip better in lower temps than summer tyres and have more knobbly treads that grip better. On sheet ice it's still slippy, but with careful driving ou CAN progress. Uphill on sheet ice is still not recomended though.
