My name is Kimberly and I've been teaching Pilates for 10 years and studying for almost 20 years, can you believe it! I started Pilates as a young dancer with bad faulty body positions and wasn't developing the long, lean and powerful muscles needed to pursue my dance career.After dancing professionally, I am now the busy mother of two and the owner of Focus Pilates, a Pilates studio located in the beautiful athletic club Studio Physique in San Gabriel, CA. I have been lucky to have studied and worked with very knowledgeable people from Physical Therapists and trainers to nutrionists and chiropractors. If I don't know the answer I embrace learning from other experts.
I believe ANYONE and EVERYONE can benefit from Pilates--the muscle awareness, postural positions, muscle initiations and patterns, and the mind body connection. Pilates is the key to becoming a true athlete from the inside out no matter your fitness level.
