Shawn Henderson is a music promoter and a strong believer in the power that music plays in the health and vibrancy of the community as well as the human spirit itself.

He became involved in promoting live music back in 1998 when he became the director of the Kennebunk Coffeehouse, an all volunteer non-profit music venue in Kennebunk, Maine. Under his direction, and with the help of a group of other extremely dedicated volunteers, The Kennebunk Coffeehouse quickly became one of the most respected music venues on the live music circuit.

At the start of the decade of 2000 Shawn continued his efforts to present and promote the performing musician and their art by creating and co-producing a television program, Stay Tuned, dedicated in full to the presentation of live music. The format of the program was interview/performance and Shawn interviewed and presented hundreds of musicians throughout the 7 successful years the program was on the air.

In 2004, during the release of The Kennebunk Coffeehouse's CD release promotional campaign, Shawn was introduced to a new community radio station in Portsmouth, NH. WSCA 106.1 FM started broadcasting in September of 2004 and Shawn was one of the first live guests to appear on the airwaves. He was joined on air by Craig Werth, one of the artists featured on the Kennebunk Coffeehouse disc.

While visiting WSCA that Fall Shawn saw the value and importance that the radio station was offering to the community. He immediately started to become involved in their mission. In January of 2005, Shawn went on the air with his own show, which was basically a continuation of his Stay Tuned television program.

Originally scheduled as a one hour program Shawn quickly grew the program to a 3 and 1/2 premier program dedicated to promoting live music and the musicians that make it. Since the start of Stay Tuned Radio back in 2005 Shawn has talked with and presented hundreds of musicians and bands, consisting of local, national and internationally touring acts. He's presented Grammy Award winners, Oscar winners, WC Handy Award winners and stand out artists in nearly every genre.

Tune in to Stay Tuned on WSCA 106.1 FM every Friday from 1:30 to 5:00pm and become acquainted with the artists performing their music in a live setting.
