Hello i'm Sjors, i was born in the Netherlands, Europe. I picked up the guitar at the age of 15, my dad is a guitar player too, and because of him i really got into the blues and playing.

I started touring seriously when i was 16, with Jody van Ooijen and Roelof klijn on drums and bass (Coup de Grace). When i was 17 i recorded a record in France with Tino Gonzales(USA) the record was a world wide release on Dixi Frog records. At the age of 18 we (me, jody+roelof) started The Strikes together with Big Pete van der pluijm on vocals/harp, got signed by Cool Buzz Records and released our debut album. We played every big pop and blues festival in Europe and on occasion we also played over sea shows. After a few years of intensive touring we had to decide if we were making a second record, but because of musical differences we decided to quit the band.

After The Strikes i started studying at music university, playing with COUP DE GRACE again and joined various other acts. My main blues band at the moment is ' KING MO ' we're recording a live dvd + cd in the end of 2009 it will be released early next year. I also did a month of touring in Japan, with rock band ' 7 DAYS WONDER ', it was great fun and our EP is for sale on itunes. Next to this i also play with ' JESSE MARIA ' on occasion, she's about to sign a deal and working on songs for her upcoming debut album.

When i'm not on tour or recording i'm teaching guitar at a school for music.
