The line "No one ever cared if I should live or die" is SO heartbreaking given what was to come for Karen. She is BY FAR my favorite female voice, and songs like this really showcase her depth and emotion. Beautiful and so sad.

No, this kind of talent is not extinct. It's just harder to find! But it's out there. Granted, there will never be another Paul Simon, but that's why they call people like him "one of a kind"!

I have to admit that I like this version more, but only cause I heard it first so there's a sentimentality attatched to it. Tim's version is really quite good as well. Slightly different feel and not as airy as Art's, but excellent in its own right! I'm actually curious to listen to more or Moore!

After listening to several other versions online, this one still sits at the top. Art seems to capture an emotion in the lyric that no one else really gets. And of course the beautiful orchestral break in the middle. The consumate version!

The BEST of all interpretations I've seen on YouTube. Just wish they had held out the phrase 'but you can make decisions too' near the end just a bit longer. Just for impact. That aside, wonderful emotion and arrangement. All the subleties without overdoing it. Great!

Saw her with Dallas Green/City and Colour in Detroit a while ago. Had no idea who she was before that night. I DEFINITELY know who she is now! Incredible! One of those awesome surprises, and why I always catch and opening act. Cause you just never know!
