Several of us wanted, once upon a time, to tell our life stories, but we feared the consequences of letting out our secrets. We wanted to see a book about our lives, yet never had the courage to write. I think we all still want to share those stories.
That's why I'm starting "Story Our Life." In 700 days (almost two years) I'm looking for 700 life stories - and that means you. I'll take them in whatever length, tone, and tenor they come. Some will submit sentences, others will send in novels. At the end of 700 days, I will spend one more year pouring over the stories to create a work of historical fiction based on all of our lives. Think of it as a modern-day Brothers Karamazov, only for all of us. The main character will go through as many of the scenarios as possible, and the entire cast of characters will experience all of the situations as a group. Our Life Story will shape up as a mosaic of corporate experience, of our suffering and of our happiness. We will share our story without ever using our names.
