@SuperGunnGunn You are right that MMA isn't judo. You are wrong to dismiss it so lightly. There are some great martial artists in that sport.

I like Wing Chun, but I don't think this is a realistic takedown defense. That throw at 0:03 is being done by a man standing on one foot against a man already on the ground. It would be very easy for the attacker to resist and counter this.

The first couple of seconds on this video are pretty damning. The "master" stands perfectly still, leaves his face in the path of the punch, and catches the attacker's hand. That's living in a fantasy world. This is simply not possible in combat or even regulated sport.

There's nothing wrong with the "Sensei" believing this nonsense. That's his own business. What's wrong is that he is taking money to teach it to children. That's fraud and brainwashing; it's dangerous and it brings shame on martial artists everywhere.

Believing you can do this yourself is harmless delusion. Teaching children to take falls to accommodate your delusion is dangerous brainwashing. This is fraudulent and irresponsible and it brings shame on martial artists everywhere.

There are much, much worse martial arts videos on YouTube than this. That said, stomping an unarmed opponent who's laying face-down on the ground is not a self-defense move; it's a criminal act of aggression. Martial arts studios need to stop teaching this kind of stuff.

To all of you making comments about aikido based on this video, I'd like to point out that "REAL AIKIDO" is a small, obscure organization that departs significantly from the aikido style of Hombu or any major aikido organization. Mainstream aikido is very different from this.

It looks to me like no one is actually trying to score a hit. This is understandable, since either weapon could cause a serious injury pretty easily, but I wonder at the point of this.

A lot of people are using the word "choreographed" here. I suspect this is a misunderstanding of what the word means; this is obviously not choreographed. Obviously, these techniques were learned as kata and practiced that way many times, a far cry from the spontaneous rigor of MMA sport training...
