15 February 2003 was the biggest protest in human history. In Britain there were two million on London's streets. In Rome there were even more. Tens of millions of people in over 800 cities across the world said Not in My Name. We didn't stop the war in Iraq but the protest that day has shaped the politics of a whole generation. Now a feature length film titled We Are Many is being made by Amir Amirani which will document a momentous day. This is the inspiring trailer for the film, which captures the spirit of that day - a spirit which has been shown time and again since, not least by the Arab Spring uprisings.

Everyone knows the US-Nato war in Afghanistan is lost. But that doesn't stop the killing as the invading countries try to find a way to dress up defeat as victory. And there's a horrific price being paid by the children of Afghanistan, killed by so-called "smart" bombs and missiles, and then labelled "terrorists" by the killers trying to cover up their "mistake".
These two incidents are from 2011. But the killing of children has continued into 2012.

The UN is just a tool of convenience for the United States. It would rather get UN backing when it decides to wage war, as it did against Libya and is trying to against Syria. But if the UN won't toe the line, then the US will go to war anyway, as it did against Yugoslavia and Iraq.
The UN is fine when it's doing America's bidding, but to be ignored or obstructed when it doesn't. So the US has used its veto 83 times since 1972 to block UN resolutions. More than half of those -- 42 -- were used to stop the UN condemning Israel for its endless violations of international law, illegal occupation of Palestinian land, colonial expansion of Jewish settlements, and brutal attacks on Gaza.

At the launch of the UK Don't Attack Iran Campaign on 28 January 2012, held at a rally outside the US Embassy in London, actor Roger Lloyd Pack gave a powerful reading of Strange Meeting by First World War poet Wilfred Owen, one of the most famous anti-war poems ever written.

Bradley Manning is threatened with life imprisonment if he is found guilty of leaking thousands of documents to Wikileaks which exposed war crimes carried out by our governments. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by an Icelandic MP . If President Barack Obama, who has has waged war in six countries -- Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen -- can receive this prize -- awarded to him in 2009 -- then why not the person who has done more than anyone to expose to expose the lies, the atrocities, the mass slaughter, the torture and the destruction of our civil liberties, which have been hidden from us in ten years of the "war on terror"?
