I'm encouraged that lately the duet has come back into R & B, although Atlantic Star is obviously a group. Anthony Hamilton/Jill Scott, Kem/Chrisette Michele, Ceelo/Melanie Fiona, El Debarge/Faith Evans, all have great songs. I know I am missing one or two.

@deandreajefferson Actually Tito's 3 sons made up the group 3T and had a couple of mild hits. They are bigger in Europe now than in the States. They are pretty good.

She has raw talent, but must work on her stage presence and hopefully the rest of her material is better.

I saw Debarge in concert a few years ago and they paid homage to their older brothers Bobby and Tommy by singing some Switch songs. Randy and El sang this joint and did a great job.

I always smile when I hear reunion tour. These guys have never really stopped touring, I see them or some variation of them every summer.

A lot of you know nothing about evaluating talent. If this kid is indeed an 8th grader, you have to project him 4 years down the line as a senior. By then he will be stronger, faster, smarter, have a better shot, etc. Right now he is a pretty good 8th grader.
