About this user

I was born and raised in Northwest Oklahoma: Woodward. I began playing guitar at age 15 and used to
sit in my room for hours playing along with my favorite songs after finding guitar tabs online (when the
internet was young). In 1998, I started a band in high school and we did primarily covers of Christian
bands like Caedmon's Call, Waterdeep, Sixpence None the Richer, and Jars of Clay to name a few. I
also began leading worship at various youth events and for a couple different churches at Falls Creek.
In the fall of 1999, I led worship in Kansas at my first college I attended and then moved to Shawnee,
Oklahoma to attend OBU in 2000, where I joined an outreach and did a little worship leading there as
well.

After about a year and a half I moved to Denver and started playing some open mics but only lived
there a couple months before a friend asked me to move back to Oklahoma and live with him in
Norman. I did and began to get involved more at my church in Norman. I began leading worship
for a college group there through my church and then decided, after about another year or two to go
to Australia to study worship in the church at Hillsong College. I left for Australia in August 2003,
and attended school there for two years. It was really there that I began the journey into the realm of
songwriting. Within a couple years I had written well over 100 songs and have kept writing since. I
went through a bit of a slump in my songwriting ventures for a few years, only writing one song every
month or so. In 2009, and more in 2010, my songwriting began to take off again.

In 2010, I started playing at various open mics in Oklahoma City. I also recently landed some weekly
gigs at JJ's Alley in the Bricktown district of downtown Oklahoma City. It has been fun and I have
been getting some great feedback. If you would like me to come play sometime please do not hesitate
