@joshmos that's deep; i saw a docu. where they asked patti labelle who she listened to growing up; she responded dakota staton and dinah washington, so i hit her up on youtube. glad i did, what a voice.

i got turned onto her by patti labelle; when they asked who she listened to as a child, she said dakota staton and dinah washington. now i see why.

he did his best version of patti's incomparable version; too much "pink' though, if u know what i mean.

@SquishedButterfly yes, when i was a teen in the hood in the 70's, we used it as a reference to a woman's parts. now we reference it as to a male if at all. like u, i did not know they had this type of garbage on wax back then.

so good to see two of the three best female skatres of all time [judy sowinski is the other one]; judy a. is my favorite [most skilled] followed by candy michell[so skilled and exciting, great fighter,strong, etc...]

@jowar67 i agree with u wholeheartedly; judy was the best there ever was, hands down; however, u cannot forget the great judy sowinski who could match her on any given day, and also the great ,but sadly forgotten ,candi mitchell. who skated/fought like a man, and was responsible for ending judy'...

that was awesome; i didn't know they could skate like that back then. judy arnold is my favorite skater of all time; as for the best= little richard of the phila. warriors, mike gammon and larry lewis.
