A born music lover. When I was a small child my parents had one of those huge old stereos...the kind that are in a big decorative cabinet and it had an 8 track, a record player, and the regular AM, FM tuner. You could close the lid while it was playing and I used to lay on it with my head down and just listen. That, or I'd rock on my rocking horse just getting lost in the beautiful music. Then as my older brothers got older they started bands so there was always some kind of band set-up in our basement. One of my brothers, the one who inspired me most musically, brought down an old player piano and that sat in the basement mostly not getting used until I got old enough to have the courage to venture into the spooky basement by myself to play. :-) I've been playing ever-since. It wasn't enough for me to just listen to great musicians making music...I always have music in my head that I make up constantly. The hard part is translating it into real life so that others can hear.
