Chelsee Healey and Pasha Kovalev - Paso Doble - Strictly Come Dancing 2011

Chelsee Healey and Pasha Kovalev dancing the Paso Doble to 'Malagueña' from 101 Strings Orchestra. Including judges scores.

    Strictly Come Dancing ...

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

Chelsee is great - I would be happy with her or Harry winning. But this dance had some obvious mistakes in it and should not have recieved a perfect score. Harry's Vienese Waltz was, as far as I could see, perfect, and only got 39. Easier dance I guess. But whadda I know!?

Katie Price - 'Frankie Boyle is not a man, he's a mouse'

Glamour model and reality TV star Katie Price responds to comments comedian Frankie Boyle made about her and her disabled son Harvey.

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

I'm no fan of Katie Price, but there is never, ever, any excuse for making jokes at the expense of an individual born with severe disabilities. How would Boyle react if he heard his children making similar jokes I wonder?

Into The Woods - London Cast - Hello Little Girl

Original London Cast of Clive Carter and Tessa Burbridge sing Hello Little Girl from Sondheim's Into The Woods on the Wogan TV show

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

I saw this production I'm afraid to think of how many years ago and LRRidinghood was brilliant, as was the whole cast. It was simply one of the most awesome things I've ever seen in my life. I think this production was better than the Broadway version. When we get Sondheim right in the UK we get ...

    Directed by Peter Sellars

    Choreographed by Mark Morris

This music makes me want to run around all over the place and jump high in the air. They should play it in clubs - it's great to dance to.

I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky

The prolog of John Adams' music theatre piece

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

I love John Adams music but this 'musical' is far from his best work. In my opinion the closest he's come to writing a musical is The Death Of Klinghoffer, which is musically way more accessible than I Was Looking At The Ceiling. Recently saw Nixon In China broadcast live from The Met at the Curz...

    Audra McDonald & Nathan Gunn

    " Too Many Mornings "

From: Sondheim ! The Birthday Concert

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

Wow - this concert is amazing. Most of the time you see performers who are not really up to Sondheim getting it not quite right. This shows how good it can be when people nail it! There's nothing like it.

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

I agree with what everyone has said! The most extraordinary ending to a movie - a moment of pure genius. To me, the dead fish mirrors the statue of Christ at the start of the film - it's eye is the eye of God. It is blank, cold, and dead. The girl represents beauty, Marcello's potential creative ...

La Dolce Vita - Trevi Fountain Scene

Trevi Fountain scene from the movie La Dolce Vita (1960)

    stickyfixer1 stickyfixer1 commented:

@terratrema I know what you mean - but is she meant to present all that is beautiful and desirable in womanhood? Where does that leave Anouk Aimee's character? I think Ekberg represents a very specific American type of beauty Fellini is pretty ambivalent about. She's a fantasy, as Marcello says a...
