Empirical Videos was formed in Kingston-17, St. Andrew, Jamaica. This production team formed as a unification of sorts between the well-known editors in the Dancehall world.
In December of 2008 a video was created entitled "Last Man Standing" which depicted Vybz Kartel as the absolute winner of Sting 2008. This video appeared on every facet of Dancehall media and eventually spread to the Hip-Hop world when it premiered on sites such as Worldhiphop, Allhiphop, S.O.H.H., and smartenupnas.com. The video had it's own article in FADER Magazine on January 13th, 2009.
