His music video's have over 4 million views on the internet total between Yahoo & Youtube. Endorsed by Ergo Guitars, Dean Guitars, & Line 6 Amplification. This site shows Alex's progression since his first video in March 07. His first live performance was at the Cleveland Agora with Vincent Fondale, singer in Recess. In March 07, a video of the 2 kids playing "Lights" by Journey from that show, was featured on Yahoo.com's front page-that is how this all got started. About Me:
BIO- Playing guitar since the age of 4, Alex showed early signs of picking up the instrument pretty well. When he was 9, he auditioned for a reality TV show, called "Finding Julian's Band". At the same audition was 7 year old Vincent Fondale. Both kids eventually won spots on the show. In March 2007, Vince and Alex sat in at the Cleveland Agora with Nostalgia Cleveland, a local classic rock band. A video from that performance was submitted to Yahoo.com. The editor's at Yahoo featured the video of the kids playing Journey "Lights" on the front page, getting over 300,000 views in an hour. Since then, Alex's video's have over 4 million views on the internet. Most recently, a video of Vince and Alex and their band, Recess, was again featured on Yahoo's front page,in April 2009. The internet encyclopedia Wikipedia, even mentions the video on Journey's Wikipedia page, and also the page for the song "Separate Ways". Here is the mention: In mid April 2009 Cleveland, Ohio area classic rock kids band Recess were featured on the front page of Yahoo.com due to their remarkably high quality performance of Separate Ways captured on video during a kids talent show in Cleveland. Between Yahoo video, YouTube and other video sharing sites, the video has been viewed over a million times in less than a week since its release, with hundreds of astonished rave review comments from viewers — many of whom are longtime Journey fans.[5] Of particular note are the guitar, vocal and drumming performances turned in by an 11 year old and two 9 year olds respectively, as well as the overall 'tightness' of the band's performance. Here are a list of Alex's other career accomplishments: *Recorded CD at age 9, with Legendary bassist Ralphe Armstrong, from the Mahavishnu Orchestra/Jon Luc Ponty. *It was also produced by 3-time Grammy winner Mark Pastoria from Harmonie Park Studio's in Detroit. *Earned a guitar endorsement from Dean Guitars, one of the youngest to ever receive a guitar endorsement, at age 11. *Played for crowd's of up to 5,000 people when he was 9, at Nelson Ledges State Park in Ohio. *Played at the Whiskey a GoGo in Hollywood, CA when he was 11. *Played live on the morning show's at WGN TV in Chicago, and Fox 8 in Cleveland Morning show in Winter, 2008. *Played the Star Spangled Banner on guitar at the Quicken Loans Arena in March 2009, twice. MAC Men's basketball finals game, and the Women's finals game at the Q. Played the anthem on guitar Aug 13th, 2010 for The Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball game vs. Seattle Mariners______________________
It is not the critic who counts
Not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled
Or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit goes to the man who is actually in the arena
Whose face is marred by dust and blood
Who strives valiantly
Who errs and comes short again and again.
Who knows great enthusiasms
The great devotions.
Who spends himself in a worthy cause
Who at best knows in the end
the triumph of high achievement
And who at the worst, if he fails
At least fails while Daring Greatly
So that his place shall never be
With the timid souls
Who neither know victory or defeat.
~Theodore Roosevelt
