i too have been working with cad500 parts. theose are highly underestimated engines. and lightweight.. i love the car man, i bet its crazy fast.... but if it were mine i might tuck the turbos a little closer to the engine, but it looks great, nice ride man.

THOSE ENGINES ARE BAD ASS. The high nickel content in that engine block, makes it only 40 pounds heavier than a small block chevrolet engine. You can grab 1200 horses out of this engine, for the right price. Cadillac 500/472.. Look it up 1968-1980 or somethin like that are the years you can find...

to anyone doing a sbc swap: Push back the firewall a little, on stock motor mounts, your bolts should be about 8 inches from the crossmember. you can work off of the stock driveshaft to know how far back to go.. but if you get the motor back, and down, you can use the stock hood, the stock radiat...

but, then again, if you plan on keepin it, an want a kool ride, i say GO FOR IT!

i like it man, i just done an s10. i ordered my rear frame from sw race cars. i went with ladder bars, with a panhard bar, all strange rear end, 3.50 gears, shocks/coils and strange brakes.. makes a fun project, and a bad ass ride. good luck with that beast engine.

i have a 500 caddy engine, i took it out of a stock eldarado. even in that heavy car that engine would scream. low rpm, but torque everywhere. they are internally balanced, and bulletproof. Im tryin to get it in a s10. its a huge engine, so theres some work to it, but it can be done. ill post vi...
