I use cfls, but I've seen metal halides getting used which seem to have much more lumens for their wattage than the cfls and they seem to keep plants much stockier and stronger than the cfl lights.

Moso seeds can be tricky to grow at the beginning, but once they start making shoots and bushing out, they are pretty easy to grow, especially once they are planted straight in the ground in natural conditions.
