About this user

Steve Koven is a Toronto, Canada based pianist, composer and educator. In 1993, he formed his own trio, the Steve Koven Trio, which has recorded 8 CDs to date and performs internationally. Aside from performing with the trio, Steve leads another group called, "Project Rex" and performs solo piano concerts. Presently, Steve is on staff teaching jazz piano and Contemporary Improvisation at York University in Toronto. Koven conducts master classes and workshops internationally, focussing on improvisation and musical self-expression, and is in the process of developing an online music teaching course.
