Steve Ferkau

My name is Steve Ferkau, I'm 48-years old and I've suffered from cystic fibrosis my whole life. Eight years ago, I received the gift of life in the form of a lung transplant from a loving, caring girl from Iowa named Kari.

You can see my full story on my video here. In January 2009, I'll be joining 25 other float riders on the Donate Life Rose Parade Float to call attention to the crucial importance of organ/tissue donation.

I'll be keeping an updated video journal of my experiences at the Rose Parade here. I look forward to meeting other recipients, donor family members and others touch by organ donation from around the nation.
