I was at that concert also ...flew in from Austin Tx....it was an amazing concert... a truly once in a life time treat. I almost got to meet him but he was ill and not feeling up to socializing.

I picked uo a Syl Sylvain (X NY Dolls member) in the early eighties and saw him at Tuts in Chicago. I can't remember the albums name but it was great and some of the tunes had very similar piano parts that were on The Playboys tunes. He must of been a fan of Leon or Gary.

The piano parts were so instrumental in all his hits...but when you see him perform them live there was never anyone playing piano. The production on his hits were also great. It's tough growing old when you grew up a kid in the sicties listening to all these wonderful pop tunes.
