Edible Wild Plants Book and Resource Review
My sugestions for learning about the uses of the world around you.
Sam's books are what all foraging books should be. Detailed accounts. His account of using acorns is 51 pages long. Every aspect is covered and then some. Read the reviews from Amazon customers that bought these books. Nature's Garden get 38 5s and two 4s and nothing lower.

Spawning our woods with MORELS that were too old to eat

Ash, apple, and elms. I used indigenous yellow and black morels from here in Maine. I also created a habitat island by the edge of the woods with my grill ashes and poured some slurried burn site morels I got in a trade with a friend out west. I could be my lucky year..... Morels have yet to appe...

This is incorrest in most every aspect. Chaga is not part of the tree's immune system. It is a white rot fungus and parasitic tree pathogen. Contains oxygen? No. Contains antioxidants, terpenes, polysaccharides, betulinic acid etc. It is highly medicinal but not for the reasons stated here.
