Punk is a great genre, and ska is basically punk backwards, and reggae is ska in half time, so it seems logical to combine those three genres. Sublime is awesome too

@MrPaulwaters Operation Ivy was the best ska punk band ever, they were like the beatles of the genre. Its really hardcore though

Well Billie Joe's first instrument was actually the drums, and his dad, his uncle, and his son are all drummers, so it kind of makes sense

@chibichibi9981 She said she said is probably my favorite drum song, and I agree Ringo is a very underappreciated drummer, no one has ever really sounded like him again. I like his solo on The End too

oh man, I love that you include Shannon Hoon in this. I used to love Blind Melon, and I just started listening to them again recently, so that's really cool. One other person that needs to be in one of these is Brad Nowell from Sublime. One that gets left out a lot

@abcDiogo123 I mean they got what they deserved in terms of fame, recognition, etc. I know, it seems like most bands of the era got screwed by their managers/record companies

@MrSegaLP That's a great album, I think my personal favorite was Kerplunk, but this is a close second. I think their first 3 albums were the best

@513986916 well the guy that killed John Lennon, Mark Chapman, became obsessed with the Catcher in the Rye, the book whos main character was the inspiration for this songs name. He said the book told him to kill John Lennon or something.

well who cares if Zeppelin stole half their riffs, they made them a hell of a lot better than the original artists did. I like Screeching Weasel too so I'm not putting them down both bands are awesome
