I was unaware that the Weardale Railway actually ran alongside an active passenger worked Network Rail line where the trains ran parallel without any fencing between the lines. I carefully worded my statement to exclude the narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway at Blaenau Ffestiniog .

That is a Bullied Pacific class loco working on British Railways (Southern area) working a special train possibly carrying a "Cathedrals Express" headboard.. Note the third rail electrified line. Official maximum speed is 75mph and probably doing at around that speed.It has the British Railways....
