Interesting info about the Frisco steam engine. I live in Ardmore, Ok and we only had a branch line of the Fricso out of Madill, Ok. I do remember the steam engines when a very small boy. I liked their whistle since they did sound like a steamboat to me in a way. I have been a big railroad fan as well as an organ fan.

DVD called Dancing Steam is now available from the Museum of the American Railroad - www.dallasrailwaymuseum.com which contains more video of the Clark Calliope.

The Amtrak cars you mention are the property of John Radovich and are not open to the public. We have viewed them when they were brought over a couple of years ago for a Railroad Car Owner's meeting at the museum.

As for the web site - that is a continuing project - which I have helped with. All the equipment is documented in a Web based Kiosk I created at the museum in the HT&C depot's station master's office. Between the upcoming Dinner in the Diner and Day out with Thomas events, and the logistics, site prep, and planing for the move, the web site has to take a back seat to more pressing projects.

let me know if there is anything else I can clarify for you.

The 1625 was no shunter engine - it is a Russian Decapod and its basic design was used for all the 2-10-0s made in russia and later china. It has extra wide drivers adapting it to the russian imperial railroad's 5 ft gauge and was built in 1917, which is why it was never delivered to Russia due to the revolution. It spent its life on the Frisco and ended up as the last working steam locomotive in Oklahoma hauling coal for Eagle Pilcher mines. Its sister engine, the 1622, is at the St. Louis Museum of transportation. The 1625 is a landmark locomotive and has been cosmetically restored and sits on a bit of track to the south of the HT&C depot. If you had gone through the museum or walked around its perimeter you would have seen it.

At 0:22 in the video you are looking at the engine in one of your videos. That is the 7 spot before the cosmetic restoration was completed. If you look at the steam domes and cab you will be able to identify the locomotive. The 7 spot was the union terminal switcher until its replacment with a 2nd hand diesel switcher in the 60s. It actually came to the museum under its own power back in 63 or 64.
