STEORN have just shown their 'improved' prototype-complete with Thane Hein's toroidial coils (eliminates back EMF), but what's this battery nonsense? McCarthy states that a battery can dump current faster than a capacitor, now that's bullshit for a start.......

A few thoughts on the LHC;
Shame that the test of the century was aborted due to faulty soldering, i can't blame them, it's happened to me, too.
Spin; If the protons have antiparallel spin, they will pass through each other, with no interaction, bummer, they should have asked me first:)
Cost; playing god is not cheap, even if they find the elusive Higgs-boson thingy, what then? Maybe they could make a new weapon from it, like the last time? They can't see the wood for the trees, they are still looking for 'dark matter' when they should be looking for 'dark energy' (zpe)-this doesn't need a 27 kilometer machine, just a few capacitors & semiconductors-the greatest discoveries were all made by lone inventors on a shoestring budget-

-throwing money at a problem is no gaurantee you will get the answer. As i've commented elsewhere, they don't really care if this machine has the potential to destroy the planet, they just want to get their big toy fired up, such egomania normally leads to catastrophe. There, i've had my say, now it's up to you.
