I grew up in LA in the late 60s and saw Ry around as well as Lindley when he was in Kaleidescope. I thought I was pretty familiar with both of their work. This blew me away Does anyone know where and when this concert took place? I'd give an awful lot to play a hundredth as well as either of them.

I have no idea what the first rock and roll song was, or the effects of racism's impact on popular culture. I do know, however, that this song rocks. I particularly like Ike's piano work and Raymond Hill's smoking sax.
