I think Karin's sacrifice was even cruler than the Uchiha Clan in some ways. No one should have to die for Sasuke's vendetta. Sasuke has lost sight of his ideals. He wanted to protect his family and friends. He was too weak so he searched for power. Now he's just rampaging around killing anyone who might be a good test of his powers, or anyone who pisses him off. He thinks he's avenging Itachi, but Itachi never wanted to be avenged. And Itachi certainly never wanted the Leaf Village to suffer. Itachi wanted Peace. Sasuke should see that Itachi would be ashamed of his vendetta.
