you can find instructions for installing compiz on the puppylinux forum don't forget to mention the version you are trying to install compiz on... also compiz/beryl only works on puppy 2.14 and up I would recommed you try out the modded versions of puppylinux that include compiz by defualt namely wNOP and Ripple you shouldn't have much trouble findig them on the forum
