Today, a "good" ytpmv must have perfect pitch, stunning visuals, be up to date with the fads and have a source that is aprooved by the community. Well lemme tell you all that if this is what a good ytpmv is all about to you i have to say youve got it all wrong and that you should unsub imediatly! But if you got the time and interest to listen on an oldfag telling you about the history of ytpmv and his channel then sit tight, have a cold beer and enjoy! Well, this channel has been around for a while as you can se. Back in the day i was not making ytpvs at all. I used to make bolt music videos with windows movie maker. That was until i discovered ytpmvs! I saw some funny ytpmvs made with the cdi zelda source and thought, well, maybe i can do such things too. So i learned how to use sony vegas and started of with making some ytpmvs! Now back in that time, i can tell you that i didnt pitch at all and the timing was off. But even trough that there was no bitchin about the pitch. Only some ppl pointed out that the timing is a little bit of. People enjoyed simple things, they could see that the ytpmver put his time and effort to make the video as best as he could. For that, a ytpmver used to be appriciated. Well, time passed by and people got better at ytpmving and with that the comunitys standard of what was considered a good ytpmv grew. Sooner or later, things that used to be considered a little + if they where good like visuals and good pitch suddenly got obligatory for a ytpmv. I was no more able too keep up with the standards. Sure i improoved scince my first ytpmv but the standards got so high that i was simply not able to keep up. And whith that the wave of bitchin finally struck my channel. The community bitched about pitch shift, source, fad being old, yeah you you name it! I suddenly started too feel forced to make videos just to satisfy the community. But then i thought to myself. Why the fuck am i making videos that are supposed to be fun for the community when they are not fun for me to make? That clearly takes away the You in YTPMV. So i said fuck it, i keep making videos my own way and the community can eather deal with it or fuck of. So thats how i am making videos today. I make them with sources i like and pitch them the way it sounds good to ME, not the community and no matter how many cans of bitchin the community will throw at me, i will still keep making them vids my way like i used to and that is with time, heart and effort cuz that my folk are the things that truly matters in ytpmvs :)
