I am not really into relic hunting. Of course I like to find things - but I never keep what I have. I have enough junk of my own without adding to it!! The few things I have found I have donated to either public institutions or private persons.
The 11 year old son of a friend has an enormous collection of things found. It put me in a difficult position as he showed me what he had - I did not know whether to tell his parents or not. He did promise me to take it out the house - included was live ammunition from the Nazi era and a variety of weapons (some in working order - or so he told me). It came from a former weapons dump which the Soviets failed to destory properly!
I only go digging when it is relevant for archaeological evidence. However I understand your interest!
I hope to produce more from the Seelow battle soon!
