Nice song but I just hate that 80's/90's sheen on the production.

Any singer looking to do Walk The Line would be well-advised to follow Waylon's interpretatiion rather than trying to imitate Cash's original. Johnny's is more historically important but Waylon turned mad the song timeless.

Anyone have an idea when it was recorded? Above says a late recording, which makes some sense because it doesn't have that particular Folkways sound. Personally, I imagine Woody sitting in his living room on Mermaid Avenue recording this one..

I don't have a problem with you keeping it up...great performance...Not sure if enough Wilco fans know about Jeff's work on those Woody songs..people seem to think the band started only with Summer Teeth..
