She was beautiful..pure CLASS.

Class, stunning stage presence, incredible voice.

In her day, she could sing with anybody, and everybody wanted to sing with her - only one Dionne.

EXACTLY...............Bacharach's deceptively difficult time signatures and unusual shifting tempos throw the best of singers off. Funny you should bring up "Promises, Promises"....I just read the other day that Warwick nailed that impossible song with just 2 takes in the studi...

20 years apart in age--------all her life, Whitney had the best example of a Female Vocalist in Dionne.

People didn't realize that Larry and Dionne were very close friends..............notice how they hold hands through the entire song.

As far as the 'ARRANGEMENTS" of the songs go, wouldn't Dionne Warwick be at a disadvantage since her recording is over 40 years old?? So, with that said, if you want us to compare "VOICES" - Dionne, hands down.

I remember back in the day, everytime she released a record, it became her "Signature Song"...........until her next record was released. You can't tie Dionne Warwick down with a signature 'song'...........she's inescapably linked to a "Songbook".

Dionne Warwick looks absolutely beautiful..........Class, elegance and a stunning stage presence. She set the bar so high, it's no wonders today's female vocalists don't even try.

I've always loved Dionne Warwick and the difficult songs that were written specifically for her voice. Really, really enjoyed what you did with Deja Vu..........hope you'll use your talent on a lot more of her hit list.

These sound like songs Dionne Warwick would have/should have recorded. Bayer Sager is a fantastic song writer, but her voice isn't capable of doing these intricate songs justice.

Her voice is so recognizable, so unmistakable, you immediately know it's Dionne. She was so used do recording such difficult songs, she just floats through this song without a background vocal to be heard.

You have a knack for Bacharach/David songs. And I notice you always use their Dionne Warwick arrangements-which are the most difficult!!

I have every record Dionne Warwick made. I'm sure you'll agree, her string of hits are some of the most difficult songs ever written. So I am very critical of the most popular/seasoned singers that try to cover her. But I have to say..........you're GOOD!

Hey ladies, before you make fools of yourselves by putting down a LEGEND like Dionne Warwick for defending a family member, either get your facts straight or learn how to read. Dionne Warwick is Whitney Houston's COUSIN, not her AUNT.

Doesn't matter how many people recorded the song before her...........If Bacharach/David wrote it, she ownes it.

@jebeja AGREED.........Warwick puts everyone else to shame. Back in 1968, Bacharach had Dionne record her "Promises, Promises" album so the cast of the musical could learn how to sing the songs. After the cast album peaked at # 95 on Billboards Top 100, Bacharach released Warwick's album which ...
