My uncle was on the beaches of Normandy, My Grandad was in Iraq, my other uncle was in the South East etcwhilst the Irish were busy giving the German U boats sanctuary and hiding Nazi war criminals. In fact, many Irish did volunter to fight with us. When they got back to Ireland they were treated as traitors. It was a scandal and many of them ended up movig to England where they were given jobs and looked after
