Green the Ghetto with SSBx!
Green the Ghetto has been our rallying cry since 2001 when SSBx helped to secure the development of the South Bronx Greenway- 11 miles of green space along the Hunts Point and Point Morris waterfront. While this project will finally begin in spring 2010, there is much more that needs to be done.

Right now 1 in 4 kids in the South Bronx have asthma and the unemployment rate is the highest in the city at 24%. These may seem unrelated, but your donation to the SSBX can help find solutions to both issues. From now through December 31, Sustainable South Bronx is asking you to help us Green the Ghetto. Greening our neighborhood increases the focus on green jobs and brings more parks and green industry to the Bronx, which results in a healthier environment for us all.
