circuit bent yamaha pss790 vector synth. drum kit, basic 8 track sequencer, auto accompainments, preset rhythms.the onboard joystick can vector through 4 assignable voices. also multi-timbral over midi. preset tone module although if you want to synthesize the tone that is what the modifcations are for. 24 point patch bay. 1 point dedicated to self composition and can be connected through potentiometer before patch bay. it controls the rate and depth of glitches continously until it sustains the current sound. glitches will often reconfigure the vector with new voices, create new sounds and textures, and give alot of random results which can be self composed or resynthesized to be controlled by the keyboard, onboard or outboard sequences, or external midi control.4 points are switchable before main patch bay. lfo and overall continous pitch control via clock substituion.
vector synths are primarily known for their evolving textures and deep sounds and this is pretty much the most unusual one of them all (the most basic vector synth prior to modifcations) if not somewhat limited by the general midi implementation.
3 part demo. all sounds are unprocessed coming directly from the keyboard's onboard speakers recorded via camera's onboard mics. because of it's seemingly endless sound possiblities this demo is only a small sample of it's capabilities.

circuit bent alesis hr-16 by spunkytoofers has a circuit bending switch array, a triggering interface along with overall pitch control by a getlofi ltc1799 precision oscillator. the bent alesis hr-16 synchs with the evolver on tap tempo. on the dsi breath controls lfos based on breath and pitch ping pong modulates the other lfos along with the foot controllers to effect the sounds from it's onboard sequencer..

a few revisions on the tg33. fm waveforms are now bent and overall pitch is controlled via getlofi ltc1799 precision oscillator. in this video i'm playing the demo which is a sequence of different fm sounds and awm sounds. the fm side and awm sides are both bent in this demo.
check previous video for more explanations and new revision demo on wind controller.

circuit bent yamaha tg33 vector synth revision 2. awm bends are located on a db-25 breakout box. new revisions include circuit bent fm waveforms and overall pitch controlled with a getlofi ltc1799 precision oscillator on the body of the tg33 itself. circuit bending the fm waveforms will produce chaotic results; self composition, glitchy auto accompaniments, and complete random reconstruction of the sound and playing response. this might make these bends more suitable for experimenting in the studio but with proper setup in patch arrangement the bent fm could be used live. fm bends will alter the patch to extremes but upon a power up cycle patches in memory are returned to their original state. the awm waveforms are completely stable on its own use. the module supports multitimbral operation of vector voices allowing for some really deep exploration for sound design and experimentation.
in this video i'm experimenting with a single patch and utilitzing the fm bends. keep in mind that other fm patches and sounds will respond significantly differently from each other. i'm only controlling one note polyphony on a wind controller with one timbre. this video is not meant as a comprehensive demonstration of the fm side the tg33. the tg33 is run through the dsi evolver's amps and filters only to brighten the tone according to breath pressure, no other processing is used.
