I am a protection specialist by trade and am currently working in law enforcement where I train new officers in procedures and teach Impact Weapons in addition to my routine duties. I graduated from Executive Security International in 2002 (has been called the Harvard of bodyguard schools) as a Certified Protection Specialist and have since been employed in various industries as a security specialist. Situational awareness and the violent response to the breakdown or failure of awareness protocols (a.k.a. self defense) have become hobbies of sorts for me in the sense that I enjoy cross comparing different concepts and approaches to the subjects. I love sharing what I've learned and continue to learn with friends and family. My knowledge in these areas is derived from education, experience, and research. Other things I enjoy are my family time, collecting defense oriented knives and other weapons, knife fencing, playing PC games, writing poetry, and reading in general.
