Is this a rehearsal? I think the audience thought they are in a dinner concert chatting and greeting people like it's a big family reunion. I surely hope it was only a rehearsal. The artist deserves much more respect than this.

@colino72 Singing Italian opera means singing on the vowels and not on the consonants which is why some classical singers can't help it but produce those "ghost" vowels. Not that it's perfectly OK to do it but it's a matter of taste and style.
