@greencracker5 Not true. As it was after a home run it is a dead ball. A dead ball appeal can be solely verbal in some youth baseball leagues (USSSA comes to mind), e.g. "Did he miss home?" Meaning this appeal looks to be right in line with the dead ball appeal rules.

These guys don't realize that the umpire-in-chief (plate umpire) always has the ability to end the game. Clearly, he did. Even if they found someone to "umpire the last out"... it should not count towards the official game.
