I make MMVs.
What makes a good MMV? A story, memorable characters. What does not make a good MMV? Flashy effects, characters overloaded with NX items (as in they have unnecessary accessories such as the glasses (excused if your character needs them) and other types of face accessories, and all that is being done is people walking around making faces (like most of the MMVs I see out there). Why oh why do "walking montages" as I call them get so many views, whereas a good story gets zilch? Also, what is it with the software elitists? Windows Movie Maker can do wonders if you know what to do with it. Not everyone can afford to buy (or crack) Sony Vegas. Hell, not everyone owns Windows. If you look on Nicovideo, a lot of the memorable PVs were actually put together via Windows Movie Maker! They just used other programs to draw and animate.
